Happy New Year, friends and weirdos! I am so happy to have you with me for another fun year. I have been taking the usual holiday break (that isn't actually a break because I don't really stop working) in attempt to organize my wants, needs and goals for this brand new year. I have a lot of fun stuff in store and I can't wait to share it with you.

For now, let's discuss January and what all you can expect to see from me this month.

2025 GOALS

• I have set my reading goal for 75 books this year. I think it is a more feasible goal coming off last year and if I go over it, I get bonus points. The system is fool proof. What is your reading goal for 2025?
• More positive reviews! I want to gush about my favorite books with y'all so I hope you are excited for this. The love I feel for some books greatly outweighs the loathing I feel for others and it's just as fun.
• Complete the book of Genesis for Unhinged Bible Study. The bible is much more dense and difficult that I remember it being and as a result, it is taking more time to move through it but I am determined to get through Genesis this year, so help me god, literally. This series is exclusive to paid members of Boneyard Picnic!

GENERAL UPDATES

• BEANS - Beans is doing great. If you didn't know he was in heart failure, you wouldn't be able to tell. He is a playful, happy little kitty and we love him. He does struggle with fluid build up as a result of all of his health issues so we had to take him to the vet last week to manage that as best we can but as soon as he got home, he was zooming around the house.
• CAMERA - I got a fancy new camera for christmas and am in the process of figuring out how to use it. It is also perfect for vlogging so I am hoping to bring you more of that as bonus content this year too!
• PODCAST - I have started recycling the audio from rant reviews over on my podcast. I will also be recording all book club meetings going forward and releasing them as podcast episodes for anyone who either missed the meeting or is just nosy and wants to listen in. You can stream the podcast on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
• BONUS CONTENT - Rachel and I are joining forces again because y'all seem to enjoy it when we do (and because I just miss hanging out with her.) We will be occasionally recording candid little discussion videos and releasing them as bonus content. I also want to try and invite more of my book friends to do this with me just because I think it's fun so get excited for that! If you have any suggestions on stuff you'd like to hear us discuss, let me know in the comments!

BOOK CLUB

So for 2025, Hannah and I are toying with the idea of scheduling out our monthly selections, at least for some months. We will still have months where people vote on the title we choose but in hopes of giving you time to plan and prepare for the selections (budgeting for a new release, getting on the waitlist for a copy at your library with plenty of time to read with us, etc.) we wanted to start scheduling at least some of the books in advance.
